Niyabo Foundation has taken part in a range of community and cultural events over the years, working alongside other organisations and communities to promote diversity, creativity, cultural understanding and participation.

Below are some of the events we have participated in as part of our journey.

SUMMER COMMUNITY FASHION SHOW

Location: The Marcus Garvey Ballroom, 221 Lenton Boulevard, Nottingham NG7 2BY

Niyabo Foundation took part in the Summer Community Fashion Show in partnership with Fearless Youth Association.

The community event brought people from different cultural backgrounds together through fashion, music, creativity and community participation.

Our involvement formed part of our wider commitment to supporting activities that encourage cultural exchange, diversity and positive connections between communities.

LOVE READING

Date: 4 August 2018
Time: 11:00–17:00
Location: Battle Primary Academy

Niyabo Foundation took part in Love Reading, a community event presented by Children’s and Women’s Trust celebrating diversity, community cohesion and creativity.

The event brought people together through food, fashion, music, dance and other activities.

Niyabo Foundation participated with a community stall featuring art and craft activities, music, games and fiction storytelling, giving children and families an opportunity to engage in creative and cultural activities.

Our participation in events such as these reflects Niyabo Foundation’s commitment to bringing people together through music, culture and creative activities.

These experiences have contributed to our understanding of community engagement and continue to inform the work we are developing with children, young people and families.
